The friendly staff were really nice, even surprising us with a lovely cake for my wife's birthday.
My kids wished for a bit more space in our room.

The hotel is a recent renovation of a traditional Portuguese house. The original features and the interior decor are wonderful with great attention to detail. The weather wasn't good enough to enjoy the outdoor terraces and pool, but I want to go back for that. The room was quiet and beautifully appointed and spacious even though it wasn't one of the more expensive ones. Staff were great. I would wholly recommend the hotel.

Tthe accomodation was wonderful and the staff were exceptional. They treated us like honoured guests and made us feel completely at home. They couldn't have done more for us from giving us advice and booking places of interest, giving us advice on what to do when I was unwell and even insisting on us having us breakfast at 4am before our departure to the airport. nothing was too much trouble. It was like a little oasis of comfort and homeliness in the city of Lisbon.

Would have stayed for longer, it was a great stay for 3 nights. They offer gorgeous and splendid breakfast in the courtyard. The rooms are unique and airy, with minimalistic decoration. Plus, the location is particularly good and absolutely perfect, minutes from a Portuguese national art museum. There is an awesome restaurant at a short distance from hotel.

Just as a boutique hotel should be: smart and stylish without being pretentious, personal service but not intrusive. The interior decoration is beautiful and the outside patios are peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was simple and delicious and a joy to be had outside surrounded by flowers and authentic tiling. The swimming pool and sun-loungers on the upper decking are fantastic for relaxing after a day of shopping/sight-seeing. The hotel may seem a little way out but is actually very conveniently located. You can quickly get into the centre of Lisbon by taxi (few minutes) or public transport and Belem and the suburban beaches (e.g. Cascais, Estoril) are easy to get to by train.
Price of drinks, including bottles of drinking water for the room, was a little excessive. Bed was a bit too firm for our liking.

The hotel was beautufully decorated and felt like you were a guest in someones home. The staff we amazing, giving great reccomendations for restaurants etc and willing to do what they can to make the stay more enjoyable. The 'service' button they provide for you while your at the pool means you can just press it and they're there willing to help. the location was great, close enough to the party area but out enough to feel tranqual.
there were no real negatives for us - a truly enjoyable stay!

Palacio Ramalhete was an excellent choice to experience Lisbon. Fantastic old Portugease city palace, very elegantly renovated with beautiful art pieces and furniture. Only 12 suites and rooms alltogether so one can enjoy rare privacy. Staff was very friendly and service excellent. Not recommended for families with children, becauce guests seem to enjoy silent atmosphere. Situated on quiet street opposite to a very fine art museum. Next door very fine small restaurant with good food.Highly recommended.
We liked everything ( three adults), but hotel is not for invalids; lot of stairs and no lift.

Palcio Ramalhete is a very rare find in Lisbon, here you can stay in a warm and friendly environment that within a few hours feels like your second home with every little detail adjusted to your specific needs.Whatever we needed it was not a problem, the room was beautiful and spacious, the breakfast delightful and fresh and all served with such charm by the lovely Daniela and Franscesa that it was very very difficult to leave. The location we at first thought was its only downside but after a few days we realised that the location was a blessing as we could enjoy such peace and tranqulity here after a busy day in Lisbon and we found many hidden gems around within walking distance, starting with the wonderful Picanha restuarant, right next door, also Le Chat overlooking the bay and o Travessa around the corner set in a magical convent.
The Palcio needs to modernise their bathrooms and add useful storage to them, full showers instead of over the bath would be a huge improvement, more information on the lovely hidden areas around the holtel for delicous meals, more information on how to get everywhere which could be found already by chatting to the staff but which would be of nmore use if written down in a welcome booklet. Room 8 needs a mirror in the room and not just the bathroom and room 4 needs essential work on the mirrored doorway into room 3 which is paper thin allowing so much noise to disturb you from the other guests staying next door.
